It’s been long established by the United States Supreme Court that the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment prohibits public schools from sponsoring prayer or religious instruction. The only problem is perhaps we’re too conservative with what we define as religion.What the social justice warriors of today preach sounds more like religion than anything else, and the ideology is being spread like wildfire through public schools. “Privilege” is their origin sin, and “checking” it is confession. When it comes to micro-aggressions, we’re told they can be so subtle that “neither party knows one just occurred.” In other words, just accept on faith that they exist. And you don’t have to look any further than a Milo Yiannopoulos lecture to see how they react when a heretic is present (or maybe he’s just a witch?).
Just read the story below courtesy of the New York Post and try saying this isn’t child abuse.
An elite Manhattan school is teaching white students as young as 6 that they’re born racist and should feel guilty benefiting from “white privilege,” while heaping praise and cupcakes on their black peers. Administrators at the Bank Street School for Children on the Upper West Side claim it’s a novel approach to fighting discrimination, and that several other private New York schools are doing it, but even liberal parents aren’t buying it.
They complain the K-8 school of 430 kids is separating whites in classes where they’re made to feel awful about their “whiteness,” and all the “kids of color” in other rooms where they’re taught to feel proud about their race and are rewarded with treats and other privileges.“Ever since Ferguson, the school has been increasing anti-white propaganda in its curriculum,” said a parent who requested anonymity because he has children currently enrolled in the school.
Bank Street has created a “dedicated space” in the school for “kids of color,” where they’re “embraced” by minority instructors and encouraged to “voice their feelings” and “share experiences about being a kid of color,” according to school presentation slides obtained by The Post.
Meanwhile, white kids are herded into separate classrooms and taught to raise their “awareness of the prevalence of Whiteness and privilege,” challenge “notions of colorblindness (and) assumptions of ‘normal,’ ‘good,’ and ‘American’” and “understand and own European ancestry and see the tie to privilege.”Stories like this always makes me think there must be some validity to the horseshoe theory of politics; that those on the extreme right and extreme left are closer to each-other than the political center. Just read the school’s defense of why this isn’t a form of segregation:
Racists have a lot to learn from the so-called anti-racists of today. In fact, it doesn’t seem there’s much difference between the groups, aside from their branding.
“Segregation derives from government laws and societal systems of oppression based on the privilege of one group over another. The School for Children has not developed a system of privilege for the children of color, but a program that addresses the sociological and psychological needs of children of color in a predominately white setting.”
