Trump apologizes to Pocahontas for Elizabeth Warren nickname

If there are any two consecutive words you’ve never heard Donald Trump utter, it’s “I’m sorry.”

Throughout his many feuds this campaign season; Megyn Kelly, Jeb! Bush, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton, and countless others, he’s never backtracked on anything he’s said. Perhaps it’s a sign that he won’t cave on his convictions during his Presidency.

His latest feud has been with Elizabeth Warren, who seems to throw a Twitter temper tantrum against the candidate every few days. The outrage circus came out in full force when Trump referred to Elizabeth Warren as Pocahontas, referencing the fact that she claimed to be Cherokee in her application to become a law professor at Harvard University. As we all know now, she was only 1/64th right on that one.

After being pressured for months over this, Trump has finally apologized – just not to who the professionally outraged want. Breitbart reports:  Does presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump regret calling Sen. Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas?

He does.

During an interview with Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, Trump addressed the nickname he used for the Massachusetts senator.

I do regret calling her Pocahontas because I think it’s a tremendous insult to Pocahontas — so to Pocahontas I would like to apologize to you,” Trump said.

This is reminiscent to his response when a journalist attempted to shame him for the reference months prior – by then proceeding to continue referring to her as Pocahontas.

I’m almost hoping that Hillary picks Warren as her running mate at this point – the Trumpisms it’ll inevitably lead too will be hilarious.
