Since the left has launched an all-out war on the AR-15 rifle and having their passions reignited by the Orlando terrorist attack last week, lots of folks are picking one of these weapons up in an attempt to send the left a message about how important the Second Amendment really is to Americans. An auto dealer from New Hampshire is also wanting his voice to be heard on the issue, so he found a way to let liberals know how he really feels about gun control while creatively discovering a new method of selling cars.
If you don’t want the AR, you can opt for either a 9-mm handgun or a discount on the car’s purchase price.“I have given away four AR-15s and one 9mm handgun, which is the other option if you don’t want the AR-15,” he said.
The promotion began in May — before the deadly slaughter at an Orlando gay nightclub — and will run through August.
“They go to the dealer and pass their background check. If they don’t pass they don’t get the weapon it’s that’s simple,” he said.“I could worry about the same thing with a car being used to hurt other people. In the end that kind of heinous crime is in the heart,” he said.
This man has so much common sense oozing from his pores it’s almost obscene.
According to the National Safety Council, nearly 19,000 people were killed between January and June of 2015, yet I don’t see anyone advocating for a ban on automobiles do you?Perhaps that’s because cars are a common tool used for transportation that everyone benefits from, making it sound super silly to ask for a ban or more restrictions on who can own one.
The problem here, of course, is consistency. Guns are also tools that are used to enrich the lives of American citizens as they can be used for protection, sport, and recreation.
Every day police officers strap on guns to protect local communities. Our men and women in the military do the same thing to protect our nation and our liberty.
The AR-15, like any other gun, is a tool for defense, a right we are all guaranteed under the Second Amendment. To ban it is to violate that most sacred right and strip law-abiding citizens of equipment that could one day end up saving their lives.
Kudos to this auto dealer for having the courage to stand for the truth and seek to defend the right to bear arms.
