SICK: This is how the Muslim world is responding to Orlando massacre…

Remember when Donald Trump came under fire for claiming that he witnessed Muslims celebrating the September 11th attacks? Well, his particular story may have had a few holes in it, but among those celebrating was Omar Mateen, the Orlando shooter.

After Mateen’s massacre, he’s attracted a number of fans in the Muslim world of his own, and not just among Jihadists.

The Daily Mail reports: A Turkish newspaper with links to the country’s president has published a homophobic headline calling those who died in the Orlando mass shooting ‘perverts’ and ‘deviants’. Yeni Akit, a right-wing newspaper which has supported the likes of Al-Qaeda in the past, broke news of the attack with the headline: ‘Death toll rises to 50 in bar where perverted homosexuals go!’ The headline has caused a backlash online, where it has been suggested that the exclamation mark indicates that the paper is celebrating the attack, rather than condemning it.

And that’s just the media. Celebrations of the attack could be found all over the comments section of Al Jazeera’s Arabic-language Facebook page. The Daily Caller writes that: The comments were first pointed out by Iraqi-born human rights activist Faisal Saeed Al Mutar, who tweeted: “Go to Al Jazeera Arabic Facebook page and read the comments about the #Orlando attacks and you will see 1000s of people celebrating. #qatar.”

Pakistani-Canadian writer Ali Rizvi quickly followed up with a screenshot of the top comments on an Al Jazeera video about the Orlando attack. Rizvi included the caption: “Thousands at @AlJazeera Arabic FB page celebrating #Orlando attacks.”

Here’s just a sampling of those comments:

There was one sane commenter that expressed concern that killing innocent people in the name of Allah could give their religion a bad name, and as you can see below, not a single person “liked” that comment.

As conservative pundit Milo Yiannopoulos perfectly put it yesterday; for gays, there’s a thin line between Islam and radical Islam.
