There are more whites killed by police in America than blacks, but with a media hellbent on promoting a narrative of systemic racism, you were probably unaware. A headline over at the Washington Times captures this fact perfectly “Police kill more whites than blacks, but minority deaths generate more outrage.” You’d think the reverse would be true if we lived in a country as racist as progressives wish it were. Now, police do kill blacks out of proportion to their share of the population, however, as the Washington Times piece notes; “If one adjusts for the racial disparity in the homicide rate or the rate at which police are feloniously killed, whites are actually more likely to be killed by police than blacks,” said Mr. Moskos, a former Baltimore cop and author of the book “Cop in the Hood.”
“Adjusted for the homicide rate, whites are 1.7 times more likely than blacks to die at the hands of police,” he said. “Adjusted for the racial disparity at which police are feloniously killed, whites are 1.3 times more likely than blacks to die at the hands of police.”
The narrative of today’s race hustlers couldn’t be more incorrect – and there’s another minority group they’re not all too concerned about: law enforcement. Here’s a question we’re certain not a single #BlackLivesMatter protestor can answer. The same year that Michael Brown was shot, 126 police officers were gunned down. Name one.
H/T The Federalist Papers
Black Lives Matter supporters are correct that police shouldn’t be above the law, but it’s hard to listen to their rhetoric about lynching and hanging cops without thinking they don’t believe blue lives matter at all.
