BREAKING: Active shooter on UCLA campus; suspect described

Details are still pouring in, but here’s what we know so far.

According to CBS Local, shortly after 10 am local time, campus police sent out an alert notifying students and faculty of a possible “active shooter” in Boelter Hall near the School of Engineering building.

Students have been told to shelter in a secure place.

The entire campus has been placed on lockdown.

According to the Daily Bruin, the shooter has been described as a Caucasian man who stands around 6-feet tall.

Campus police have not yet confirmed if there has been a shooting, however, Los Angeles police are responding to the 400 block of Hilgard Avenue in response to the incident.

At this time, no injuries have been reported.

Let’s hope it remains that way.
