A neighbor told WBZ-TV’s Paul Burton that he heard at least four gunshots.Investigators remained on scene Sunday morning.
We don’t yet know anything about the suspect, other than that he fled the scene and remains on the loose. What we do know is that this type of tragedy — attacking our men and women in blue simply for doing their jobs, which is first and foremost to protect us all — feels all too common these days. The left — from the president himself to its media to organizations like #BlackLivesMatter — have done a fine job of furthering an “us” vs. “them” narrative, painting police officers as a “them” not to be trusted.
I (Michelle Jesse) had the opportunity to hear my awesome local sheriff speak yesterday and he reminded us that our men and women in blue are not just protecting our communities — the are members of the community. And don’t you think #BlueLivesMatter as much as any others?
Prayers for the fallen officer and his family.
