In my life, I’ve had some incredible mentors who’ve truly guided me and enabled me to be the American man that I am. I’ve been so humbled to have had the epitome of an American Warrior as one of my mentors. He’s a man who was a founding member of the venerable U.S. Army Special Forces Operations Detachment (Delta) — Delta Force. He’s served in multiple combat zones and given his all to include being part of Jimmy Carter’s failed Operation Desert One mission to rescue our Americans held hostage by the Iranians. His name is Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin, former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Intelligence. But sadly, LTG Boykin who gave so much to this Nation is being persecuted because he took a stand.
As reported by Breitbart:Hampden-Sydney College has caved to radical gender ideologues who demanded the firing of Ret. Lt. Gen. William “Jerry” Boykin after his criticism of transgender bathrooms.
Boykin – once commander of the Army’s elite Delta Force and currently executive vice president of Family Research Council – has been teaching at the all-male college located in Virginia.
Radical LGBT activists descended upon the college after Boykin’s comment, “…the first man who goes in the restroom with my daughter will not have to worry about surgery.” Through social media, emails and phone calls to the school, the leftwing ideologues demanded Boykin be fired for what they referred to as urging violence against gays and transgendered individuals. ““In a Facebook post Tuesday, Boykin announced his termination:
Because some of you already know and are contacting me about it, let me make it official and let you all know that I have been terminated from teaching at Hampden-Sydney College after nine years there. Hampden Sydney is the 10th oldest college in America and is one of the two Men’s colleges left in America…
The bottom line is that I oppose these so called “Bathroom” bills that let men go into women’s locker rooms, showers, and toilets and I have been very public about it,” Boykin continued. “When I said in Orlando that ‘…the first man who goes in the restroom with my daughter will not have to worry about surgery,’ the LGBT community once again came after me, claiming that I was calling for violence against transgender people.”
Boykin asserts he has never called for violence against any individual.
“I was referring to perverts who will use these policies to get into locker rooms with girls and women, and I object to that,” he stressed. “Nonetheless, I gave the LGBT community just what they needed to pressure the college leadership to terminate me and they did.”Here’s my assertion: the nation’s 10th oldest college and one of two remaining men’s colleges in America just fired an American Warrior, war hero, a role model for all young men. And what’s most amazing and telling about America is that we cannot courts-martial a damn deserter like Bowe Bergdahl, yet we fire a distinguished decorated warrior because some slack-jawed cupcakes complain. What LTG Boykin said is exactly what I feel as the dad of two daughters. It’s my responsibility to protect my girls and folks, if we have now come to a time in America where a man defending and protecting his daughters is a punishable crime — then our America is done!
We all need to bombard Hampden-Sydney and demand they reinstate LTG Boykin — and I mean yesterday. We have to let Hampden-Sydney know there are far more of us who do not consent to their action. We cannot continue down this path where this radical minority believes that they can push us around and make us cower away in silence.
Heck no, I do not support the idea that the government should accommodate someone because of their chosen behavior, “gender identity.” You’re defined in the public square by your birth certificate sexual status. If you want to be considered differently, your choice, but it does not afford you any privileges. And race is not a behavior. I also join with LTG Boykin and object to any belief that males should be allowed into dormitories and shower facilities — certainly not mandated so by the federal government. But the absurdity that LTG Boykin does not have freedom of speech and expression is unconscionable to me — certainly since he gave some 30 years of his life to support and defend that Constitutional right for others. This cannot be allowed to stand because if so, they we just reinforce and reward the fascist actions of those who called for LTG Boykin’s removal. C’mon America, Boykin stood on freedom’s rampart for us, can’t we rally to him and put the hammer down to end the suppression of our first amendment right?
The radical gay agenda is spun out of control and LTG Boykin’s comment did not incite violence. Let me clarify something, what about when President Obama talks about “punishing your political enemies” or “don’t take a knife to a gun fight” — where was the outcry about his violent rhetoric? Boykin was specific in declaring the first man who goes into the restroom with his daughter, so where was the urging of violence against gays and transgendered?
This is how the left goes, and sadly, we live in an era of abject vicious intimidation from the progressive socialist left. That is not indicative of a Constitutional Republic but rather that of a dictatorial communist state. What’s next — exile to the gulag, or worse, reeducation camps?
To the leaders of Hampden-Sydney College, it’s not too late to correct this mistake. Then again, perhaps you are not deserving of having such a honorable man as LTG Boykin as a member of your faculty. Perhaps you should start of course on cowardice in the Fall.
