Whether he wants to admit it or not, it’s mathematically impossible for Kasich to garner enough delegates in the remaining primary states to secure the nomination.I had to wonder what he was thinking when he stated during his victory speech in Ohio that he’d enter the Republican National Convention with more delegates than the other candidates — at a time when he would need to win 106% of the remaining delegates to secure the nomination.
Still trying to make the pipe dream a reality, Kasich sent out a fundraising email today titled, “How we’ll win.”
(H/T The Gateway Pundit)Or in non-vague terms, his plan to secure the nomination is to steal it at the convention. I can’t decide if it’s delusion or optimism at work here.
