This week the US House of Representatives will take up the vote on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) resolution of disapproval. In the Senate, it seems 41 Democrats have joined arms in a show to filibuster the resolution of disapproval which means it may not even come up for a vote in the congressional body. Remember, Senate Majority Leader McConnell changed the filibuster rule back from the simple majority, which Harry Reid has instituted. As all of this is occurring, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran sent out an interesting tweet.
After negotiations, in Zionist regime they said they had no more concern about Iran for next 25 years; I’d say: pic.twitter.com/dBA7oAbFPX— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) September 9, 2015
As reported by your friends at Breitbart.com, “Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the theocratic dictator of Iran, tweeted Wednesday that Israel would not survive for 25 more years. “Firstly, you will not see 25 years; God willing, there will be nothing as Zionist regime by next 25 years. Secondly, until then, struggling, heroic and jihadi morale will leave no moment of serenity for Zionists,” he tweeted.
Khamenei recently released a book detailing his plans for destroying Israel over time, as we reported here. The so-called “Supreme Leader” added a message for “The Great Satan,” which is how the regime refers to the United States.“Contrary to the Obama administration’s assertions that the U.S. will be able to use nuclear inspections under the Iran deal to find out more about Iran’s nuclear programs, Khamenei said that Americans would remain barred from the country.”
So please, tell me how does anyone support the JCPOA? There is no sign of contrition by the Islamic regime of Iran — the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism. The weak excuse that this is just rhetoric is not valid. We must take the enemy at its word.
Let us not forget that Bill Clinton signed a nuclear agreement with North Korea in 1994 and in 2006 the North Koreans detonated a nuclear device. We can ill afford to enable Iran to achieve the same. And as you clearly see here, the Iranians are dead set against NOT allowing any Americans to enter the country — save the four already there as their hostage.Interesting — we heard President Obama and Secretary of State Kerry allude to the assertion that demanding the release of Saeed Abedini, Amir Hekmati, Jason Reznian, and Robert Levinson would have been a distraction from the negotiations. Since when are Americans held hostage by another country a distraction?
So, since we really have no ability to validate Iran’s compliance, there can be no “snapback” sanctions — which anyway require a committee for approval, one that includes Iran.I find it ironic that we’re told the only alternative to this agreement is war. Yet, Democrat presidential frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, on Wednesday delivered an address backing the Iran deal, warning that she would be willing to use war to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
I thought this “deal” would prevent war, and war would only occur if we didn’t have this “deal?” Uh, can the progressive socialist left explain this double talk?
There can be no doubt that the next president of the United States will have this laid in his or her lap to resolve. And if anyone believes Hillary Clinton would “use war” to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon — well, just look at what her husband did as president to prevent North Korea from obtaining a nuclear weapon. It’s just more rhetoric and empty hyperbole which presents the facade of being tough when we know the anti-war left will not support defending the United States.
The bottom line is that there is no justification to support the JCPOA. Iran’s leader is proof positive that the number one state sponsors of terrorism are only emboldened. We can ill afford anyone to be president who professes that we should have “empathy” with our enemies. I am 54 years old and based on what Khamenei has stated, by the time I turn 79, Israel will not exist. Once upon a time in history, great powers acquiesced to evil with the result that millions died. Shall we allow history to repeat itself as once again evil articulates its goals, objectives, and designs?
Attributed by many to Sir Edmund Burke, “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.”
Perhaps we need to email that quote to President Obama, Secretary of State Kerry, and every single individual who has voiced support of the JCPOA. They are allowing evil to triumph and even worse, they are funding evil.
