In addition to her talent for playing fast and loose with the truth and ignoring the rules by which mere mortals play, if there’s one area in which Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is highly qualified, it’s in protecting her own interests above all else. It’s no surprise that, as a Democrat, Mrs. Clinton took her place alongside other Democrats, voicing her blind and unwavering support for Planned Parenthood — even in the face of the barbaric evidence piling up against it. (Though, like our president, it seems Mrs. Clinton hasn’t bothered to view the videos herself! I mean, what difference does it make?!)
But it may surprise you to learn how deep and personal Mrs. Clinton’s ties to Planned Parenthood actually are.As Life News reports:
The daughter of Planned Parenthood president, Cecile Richards, has worked on a number of pro-abortion campaigns and is currently helping out her mother’s friend, Hillary Clinton.Politico reports that Lily Adams joined the Clinton campaign last spring as Iowa’s press secretary. Adams is Richards’ oldest daughter and she previously worked as the Deputy Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee.
In fact, Lily Adams — daughter of Planned Parenthood president — is cited as behind the fact-checking for Mrs. Clinton’s two new TV ads that started airing in Iowa this week, both 60-second spots highlighting her support of children and families. As ABC Iowa affiliate KCRG reports:
Clinton released two TV ads this week, both 60-second spots highlighting her support of children and families. Family Strong starts with Clinton talking about her mother’s tough childhood as motivation for Clinton’s advocacy for kids. A narrator then describes Clinton’s accomplishments from the time she was First Lady of Arkansas to her tenure as U.S. Secretary of State.Clinton used variations of the statements when she ran for president in 2008. When asked for sourcing information on these statements, Clinton’s Iowa communications director, Lily Adams, provided a dozen citations from media outlets and Clinton’s previous news releases going back to the early 2000s.
Does anyone else see the sick irony of Clinton’s professed support for children and families — and, in particular, her advocacy for kids? I guess it all depends on your definition of “children” — they only count once out of the womb; up until then, they deserve status lower than a lion (nothing against lions — but I think you can understand the point) .
As for Mrs Clinton’s support for “families,” I can’t help but believe there’s actually truth there. But again, the devil is in the definition. We can count on Clinton to do whatever is necessary to defend families — meaning, her own and those who support her. So this candidate’s staunch and unwavering support of Planned Parenthood — whose family is so intimately tied to her own success — is no wonder at all. What would be a wonder is if Hillary Clinton could ever put aside her own self-interest to do what’s right for a group that doesn’t serve her — in this case, unborn children — or the nation in general.
