Imagine this, Joel Osteen to a predominantly white congregation: “It’s time to kill those of another race!” One can hardly fathom the speed with which the “hate speech” police would descend upon Mr. Osteen’s offices. However, when the exact same thing happens –- only with the races reversed — nary a peep.Louis Farrakhan is hardly a stranger to outlandish, hateful, racist, bigoted speeches, but the latest is a doozy by even his lofty standards. With the United States already gripped in more racial tension that at any point in our history since slavery, Farrakhan has now plainly put out an open cry for “his people” to either kill or be killed in the pursuit of justice against Whitey.
The call for violence was caught on tape a few days ago. Farrakhan delivered a speech on July 30 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Miami. The Nation of Islam leader called for black Americans to “rise up” and “kill those who kill us” if the federal government fails to “intercede in our affairs.”
Here is an excerpt from his sick and troubling ‘sermon:’“I am looking for 10,000 in the midst of the millions, 10,000 fearless men who say death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny.
Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children while the white folks give the killer hamburgers.
Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other to the joy of a 400-year old enemy. The Koran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain.
Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breaths of those whose children have been slain. So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.”
Death is sweeter than watching us slaughter each other? Isn’t slaughtering each other, death? How different is this message than what ISIS is instructing its Western recruits to do? The video of the excerpt was also posted on Farrakhan’s Facebook page Monday with the hashtag “#JusticeOrElse.”
Where is the White House? Where is the Department of Justice? If this doesn’t rise to the level of hate speech, what does? A ‘minister’ instructing congregants that its time to retaliate by stalking and then killing “them”?? What happens, heaven forbid, when or if one of his disciples goes out and does exactly that?
