While here in the U.S., we continue to roll out the red carpet for criminal illegal immigrants, France — not usually known for its tough immigration stance — is stepping up efforts to protect its very civilization from external threats such as radical Islam. One mayor is even going so far as ban the religion altogether. As reported by RFI:
France has deported 40 imams for “preaching hatred” in the past three years, Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Monday.“We have deported 40 preachers of hatred since 2012. Since the beginning of the year we have examined 22 cases and around 10 imams and preachers of hatred have been expelled,” said Cazeneuve.
Cazeneuve vowed to clamp down on mosques and preachers inciting hatred adding that several mosques were being investigated.
The interior minister’s statement comes after the recent terrorist attack on an industrial chemicals factory near Lyon, France, where a suspected Islamist beheaded his boss.“We cannot lose this war because it’s fundamentally a war of civilisation. It’s our society, our civilisation that we are defending,” French Prime Minister Manuel Valls had told French television on Sunday following the attack at the plant.
Separately, one French mayor is taking his effort to protect his civilization a step further, seeking to ban Islam altogether in France.
Via World Bulletin:The mayor of a small town in the southeast of France is sending out tweets with the message: “We must ban the Muslim faith in France.”
“We also need a Marshall Plan to send Muslims to countries where the religion is practiced,” he said in his tweets.
According to him, Islam belongs to the Maghreb and France should welcome more of its “brothers” among the Oriental Christians. He also said France’s 1905 secularism law — which guarantees freedom of religion — should be removed and ” the Republic should promotes (sic) the practice of the Christian faith.”
Interesting to consider that liberals in the U.S. seem to be promoting just the opposite in their overzealous political correctness — bending over backward to embrace Islam while increasingly strangling Christianity.
While we hold dear our First Amendment right to exercise freedom of religion — and will continue to fight to preserve it for citizens of all religions — perhaps we can take a cue from France on using its deportation authority to protect its citizens from foreign intruders. (Yeah, you know how bad things have gotten when France is taking a harder line than we are.) We here in the U.S. have gotten so lost in blind political correctness that we’re in danger of losing our precious civilization.
