I know we’re dealing with the very pressing issue of Confederate flags and civil war memorials, which are being defaced. This is the result of the “rules for radicals” politics of racial division. And to think, Nevada Senator Harry Reid now wants the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to change their mascot — the Running Rebels. I’m quite sure we look like flaming idiots on the global stage. Especially when one considers what’s happening in the real world of adults. As reported over at — unbelievably so — the Huffington Post:
This week the United Nations Human Rights Council’s (UNHRC) Commission of Inquiry published its report on “the 2014 Gaza conflict.” This was not the first report published on the situation in Gaza, an area which went from bad to worse when Hamas took it over by force in June of 2007. The UNHRC is an infamous entity when it comes to Israel. It is responsible for a series of one-sided resolutions against the Jewish State ever since the Council was established (2006) and has gone as far as to have Israel as a “Permanent Agenda Item” of the Council, an “honor” not shared by any other State on Earth. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Israel, which has seen this bias take place for such a long time, refused to cooperate with its detractors at the Council. The current report’s validity is questionable, not only because of the biased “kitchen” it was concocted in. Many questions arise from the report on a factual level: it looks into the “hostilities” only from the day after 3 Israeli teenagers were abducted and executed by Hamas terrorists. It claims Hamas was responsible for digging 14 “tunnels of terror” into Israel, when Israel identified over 30 of those. The versions even differ when it comes to the number of Israeli casualties: this stood at 73 people, soldiers and civilians, while the report put it at 67 only. The inevitable question is: if they got the basic facts wrong, what else is there in the report, which actually “holds water”?!”
It appears to me that the United Nations itself has become nothing more than a playground for despots, dictators, theocrats and autocrats. For the UNHRC to conduct a report that questions the ability of a sovereign state to defend itself against non-state, non-uniform terrorist belligerents is unconscionable. It’s almost as if the perception of Israel’s existence is becoming as reprehensible as the Confederate flag — after all, we hear incessant chants of “death to Israel.” And if that’s not enough, consider the insidious BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sanctions) agenda being promoted by the anti-Semitic international alliance.Heck, consider this report of who was invited into the White House, seated at the table with President Obama for an iftar dinner — the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset.
As reported by Breitbart.com:
President Barack Obama hosted two radical anti-Israel activists, Riham Osman and Batoul Abuharb of Houston, Texas, on Tuesday night. They both had the honor of sitting at Mr. Obama’s exclusive “President’s Table” at the annual White House Iftar dinner. Both have publicly stated that they consider Israel and its leadership to be sponsors of terroristic acts.Riham Osman, seated at the “President’s Table” Tuesday night, is the communications coordinator for the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), a group founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood that has challenged the U.S. designation of Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist groups.
Osman herself has engaged in toxic rhetoric when it comes to the state of Israel.
In March, she described Israel and its Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as sponsors of terrorism.
Batoul Abuharb, who was listed as having attended the White House dinner and was seated at the president’s table, has in the past revealed herself as a fierce opponent of Israel. In the midst of the 2014 war between Israel and Hamas, Abuharb wrote a perfervid article in the Huffington Post titled, “Dispatch from Gaza: Four-Letter Words.”
And we’ve already alerted you to, the Obama administration’s PSD-11 embraces a relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood — a group declared an Islamic terrorist organization by Egypt and the United Arab Emirates.
Simply stated, what the heck is happening in America? This isn’t even hidden, but done in full view of the American people. Let’s not forget it was ten years ago, in 2005, that Israel withdrew from Gaza, and what’s been the reward for a desire to “coexist” and live in peace? The constant threat of rockets and missiles raining down upon them, indiscriminately. And one of the nations funding these attacks is Iran. Why is the Obama administration sitting at a negotiating table with the madness we know as Iran? Perhaps, the dinner guests this week at President Obama’s table gives a response that we refuse to accept — or perhaps, blatantly deny.
Could it be that the world and the Obama administration — by way of the UNHCR actions — does not believe anymore in Israel’s right to exist? I’d prefer the anti-Semitic liberal left progressives and their islamo-fascist allies just come clean and stop with the deception. Then again, I’d just bet there would still be those in the Jewish community who wouldn’t care — the same ones who’d attack the writer of this missive. Where’s the voice of Democratic National Committee Chairman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz? I suppose President Obama’s dinner company is just peachy-keen with her and the liberal Jewish entertainment elites — after all, they don’t have to worry about rockets hitting their neighborhoods.
I’ve been to Sderot and seen the shrapnel and bomb shelters at the playgrounds. If anyone should be receiving the full brunt of international condemnation, it’s Hamas, who uses human shields and civilian buildings to hide their operations. That’s something we posted here — their own admittance. Furthermore, Hamas is a declared terrorist organization that’s attacking the civilian population of a sovereign state — and the UNHCR condemns Israel? You’ve just got to be kidding.
So while we’re running around and listening to all this diatribe and drivel about white supremacy, racism and a flag, there’s a reality happening that stains the entire global community — America included.
Let me close with a simple story — courtesy of the Huffington Post — that perhaps some of you’ll dismiss.
It was the month of January 2005. That Saturday night, a 17-year-old girl, by the name of Ayala Abukasis, was walking home with her younger brother, Tamir, in the southern city of Sderot in Israel. As they were walking, Ayala heard the shrill of an incoming Qassam missile fired from Gaza unto her city. She knew she had mere seconds to act, and so – without thinking twice or even trying to find shelter for herself – she hovered over her brother, covering him with her body, shielding him, as the missile hit the ground not far from where they were standing. Ayala was severely hurt and a few days later died in the hospital. The image seared into the minds of so many Israelis was that of Ayala’s father and brother, standing solemnly by her grave, as her brother was blowing the Shofar (a ram’s horn) in mourning of her passing.
This happened six months before Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip, as Israelis have had to face the reality of missile attacks on civilians from Gaza for over a decade now.
