When you stand on truth and principle, you must be prepared for this

Good Sunday morning folks, just had a tremendous visit in the Pacific Northwest, in the state of Washington, speaking at three venues in Snohomish County (Everett), Lincoln County (Davenport), and Spokane.

It was great to be in Spokane the same day that my Tennessee Lady Vols defeated Gonzaga in overtime in the Women’s NCAA Basketball tournament championship — they are part of the Elite Eight. This weekend I shared the story of Lincoln’s “Liberty and Tyranny” quote to inspire the people to stand up and declare the true meaning of liberty — the right of the individual to do as they please and what they please with the product of their labor, not for others to take that right away. But as I sit here in the Portland airport awaiting my flight to Dallas-Ft Worth, God asked me to share some scripture verses with you all.

You see, there are times when you stand on truth and principle, it angers others and they believe you to be a threat. And for whatever reason you must be targeted and your character assaulted by those who hide in the shadows. Perhaps there are those of you out there who need an encouraging word to stand in the face of wrongdoers and their tactics of personal assassination and destruction — something of which I, and sadly my family, are familiar.

So hear are the words from Isaiah Chapter 54, verse 17 (NIV), “No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.” As well, it simply says in Romans Chapter 8, verse 31 (NIV), “What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

We the people, the American people, are more than conquerors and those who are the emissaries and authors of confusion, denigration, and defamation will not triumph. Those who stand for liberty rooted in the knowledge of that unalienable right emanating not from man but from our Creator, God, will prevail. There are moments of perceived darkness but truth and light wins victoriously.

God bless, Steadfast and Loyal
