They say “politics makes for strange bedfellows” and a clear example of that is playing out in the “City of No Character or Consequences” — Washington DC.As reported by Politico, “Senior White House officials are in talks with business leaders that could expand the executive actions President Barack Obama takes on immigration. Obama was initially expected to focus only on slowing deportations of potentially millions of undocumented immigrants and altering federal enforcement policies. Now top aides are talking with leaders in big companies like Cisco, Intel and Accenture, hoping to add more changes that would get them on board.”
So the president, who famously told the private sector “you didn’t build that” and wants to punish those seeking respite from his “tax the rich” economic policies which are crushing private sector economic growth – those same private sector entities are willing to get in bed with Obama in order to screw over American workers. And all those Occupy Wall Streeters thought Obama was against big business, right? Nope, he’ll do anything to further his illegal immigration agenda.
Politico says “the outreach is an effort to broaden the political support for Obama’s decision to go it alone on immigration — another sign that suggests the White House fears a backlash in November, particularly among independent voters in battleground Senate races where Republicans are seizing on the issue. “The president has not made a decision regarding next steps, but he believes it’s important to understand and consider the full range of perspectives on potential solutions,” said White House spokesman Shawn Turner. “The meetings were in keeping with the president’s commitment to do whatever he can, within the constraints of the law, to address the immigration issue.”
According to Politico, “representatives from Oracle, Cisco, Fwd.US, Microsoft, Accenture, Compete America and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce were among those present at a wide-ranging Aug. 1 session that went through a list of asks for the tech sector that would involve rulemaking. Executive orders were not specifically discussed in that meeting, according to one source familiar with the session.”This further demonstrates how there really is no one lobbying for middle-income Americans. And this clearly demonstrates how cronyism is plaguing America’s economy. We no longer have a free market economy. The White House, i.e. Obama’s belief is that getting big businesses on its side will influence voting in the November midterm elections. But how will this be explained to the American worker? How will this be explained to the parents who now must be concerned with the flood of illegal immigrant children into schools — and the ensuing price tag?
How does this stem the flow of illegal immigration into America? Well, of course it doesn’t, and will only encourage more, because this Obama administration will have rewarded it. Just imagine how many phone calls have gone back to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador stating, “Si, it is true, we are getting free schooling, food, and housing. And they’re going to get us jobs.”
Politico says “senior Obama administration officials stepped up their engagement with companies and business groups over the past month as they look to produce a series of executive orders starting in September. Aides are asking industry executives for ideas and are trying to earn their support against an expected barrage from Republicans opposed to Obama taking any action. So just who is the party in bed with big business? Funny, I don’t suppose you’ll be hearing about this in any Democrat campaign ads. Remember when we all wondered why former Clinton aide, John Podesta, joined the Obama team, leaving the far Left Center for American Progress? Podesta is known for his ability to craft executive privilege and orders. And combined with the progressive socialist spinmeisters, just wait for what’s coming — and somehow the GOP will be blamed as big business aligns itself with progressive socialists for its own personal gain.
But we’re the ones how lose out. And y’all really thought Barack Hussein Obama was some new type of politician? Just the same ol’ conniving back door dealing, crony-embracing politician.Earlier this month, according to Politico, “senior aides from the White House counsel’s office, office of public engagement and the office of science and technology policy, among others, huddled with more than a dozen business groups and company officials to discuss potential immigration policy changes they could make. Smaller meetings with the White House and Department of Homeland Security aides have continued throughout the month.”
The only thing keeping Obama from unleashing his executive order plan is the concern of Senate Democrats about losing their “control” of that legislative body. However, Obama cares only about himself and his legacy and you can imagine the pressure he’s receiving from radical Hispanic open border lobbying groups — La Raza and LULAC. Furthermore, Obama believes he needs something to help push out the Hispanic vote in November.
Folks, none of this is about what’s best for you, for America, for your children and grandchildren. This is the “hope and change” people voted for. But not all hope is lost. In November you, the American people, can send a message.
