NAACP member tells black conservatives they’re not welcome at convention [VIDEO]

NAACP stands for National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and at the turn of the century, Booker T. Washington had a three-pronged agenda for their advancement: education, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance. Those three values completely align with conservative principles.

At the NAACP conference this week, a member was quite upset that black conservatives were there at all, including Deneen Borelli and CL Bryant, and made it clear they were not welcome at the event. This video is quite telling because it provides a clear window into what ails the black community: the advancement of grievance mongering and the welfare state.

Every conservative believes in a safety net for those who may encounter difficulty as they climb the ladder of the American dream. What we do not consent to is the notion of a permanent hammock.

In this video I never heard this woman espouse the values of the NAACP – maybe she doesn’t know them. She should be asking why liberal progressive socialist policies have retarded the economic advancement of “colored people” since the Great Society policies were introduced.

Perhaps she might like to ask why progressives aren’t supporting better education opportunities for inner city black children – as I mentioned this past weekend at the Western Conservative Summit. Obama, Holder, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio have waged a war on the education of black children.

And obviously this woman has memorized all the Democrat talking points as she invoked the name of the Koch Brothers — yet was unaware of their charitable $25 million scholarship gift to the United Negro College Fund. And she certainly wouldn’t know the government employee union, AFSCME, cancelled their charitable support to the UNCF as a result.

But what is most disturbing for me is the lack of “tolerance” this woman exhibited, preferring a contrary perspective not be allowed a to be heard. If there is anything indicative of the progressive socialist cancer that has invaded the black community, this is it. And ya just gotta ask, why is this conference in Las Vegas? Shouldn’t it be in Detroit, or Chicago where inner city black-on-black violence is worse than a combat zone?

I will answer this woman’s question. Constitutional Conservatives believe in these values: faith, family, and freedom. My parents raised me on values such as personal responsibility, education, self-reliance, and service to our nation. Those values, I once thought, were integral to the success of the black community.

Perhaps I’m wrong and they’re no longer viable — certainly not acceptable. Instead those values have been replaced by the abject ignorance as displayed by this woman — and advanced by the liberal progressives.

In closing, I would like to remind this woman, and the NAACP membership, of these prescient words from Booker T. Washington, as it seems they are the values of the NAACP:

“There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs…I am afraid there is a certain class of race-problem solvers who don’t want the patient to get well.”

It is apparent from this video that the NAACP doesn’t want the patient to get well — because progressives want the 21st Century economic plantation to thrive in order to harvest votes. And the sincere goal is to denigrate, demean, destroy, disrespect, and discourage those who have escaped.
