Christie gets attacked; GOP defense tactics suck

It’s always funny — no actually, it’s disturbing — to witness the liberal progressive media in action following the typical Alinsky theory of opposition destruction.

Right now, if you were an alien from another planet (as opposed to an alien from another country) you would believe the biggest national catastrophe in America is the closing of lanes on the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey.

The elevation of this episode to catastrophic status has opened an attack avenue by the progressive socialists. Now, according to a CNN report

Just days after dismissing two top advisers for their roles in the George Washington Bridge scandal, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie faced questions over the use of Superstorm Sandy relief funds. CNN has learned that federal officials are investigating whether Christie improperly used some of that money to produce tourism ads that starred him and his family.

You may remember the “stronger than the storm” commercials. Now liberals are fuming mad about those pesky ads and are gunning for a full-scale investigation.

Yep, forget that phony scandal of the IRS targeting Americans or Operation Fast and Furious. Governor Christie’s performance during and after the October 2012 storm just before the presidential election has been widely praised and is a fundamental illustration of his straight-shooting political brand.

It was his embrace of President Obama that made him a darling to the Left, and earned the scorn of conservatives. But now the governor finds himself in a sort of “no man’s land” where he is being attacked and reinforcements are not coming to the rescue.

According to the CNN report,

In the new investigation, federal auditors will examine New Jersey’s use of $25 million in Sandy relief funds for a marketing campaign to promote tourism at the Jersey Shore, New Jersey Democratic Rep. Frank Pallone told CNN. In an August letter, Pallone asked the Department of Housing and Urban Development inspector general to look into how Christie chose to spend the marketing money approved by the department. Pallone, a 27-year veteran of the House and vocal Christie critic, said this is not about politics. “This was money that could have directly been used for Sandy recovery. And, as you know, many of my constituents still haven’t gotten the money that is owed them to rebuild their homes or raise their homes or to help,” he said.

By the way, Rep. Pallone is the same individual who referred to an investigative hearing on the Obamacare website as a “monkey court” – sure, this isn’t political. Democrats in New Jersey and nationally have jumped on the scandal, saying it gives the nation a chance to see what they’ve said for years — that Christie is a bully who governs by fear.

Hmm, methinks if you want to talk about bullying and governing by fear, you might want to consider the New Black Panther voting intimidation case, dismissed by Obama’s Department of Justice or the IRS targeting scandal using a government agency to intimidate Americans from expressing their first amendment right of speech and assembly.

We just found out about Hillary Clinton’s “hit list” and reports from Virginia Representative Frank Wolf that State Department employees who were at Benghazi have been issued non-disclosure agreements and forced to take polygraph tests to preclude them from speaking out — but then again, those are just phony scandals.

Clearly the progressives have no shame, but how do we contend with an adversary that possesses no honor, integrity, or character? As former Marine Jim Reinfinger says, “if you find yourself in a fair fight, it’s all because your tactics suck.”

The GOP continues to believe that progressive socialists are rational people with whom they can find common ground. Progressives are in this for the kill, Republicans are in it for the camaraderie. Sunday on Fox News Reports, their political insiders (Caddell, Schoen, and Leboutiller) articulated the same point, that the GOP has no idea of how to fight back. That’s why we need more former military personnel as representatives, senators, and leaders in the GOP. It’s not just that we know how to fight, we possess the courage and conviction to “move to the sound of the guns” and relentlessly fight until victory is achieved.

And there’s a little something being planned in Washington DC on May 16th called Operation American Spring that progressive socialists should be very concerned about.
