Here’s your feel-good story for this Monday. While political correctness reaches new levels of insanity in this country, one bakery in Ohio is a beacon of hope.
Warning to any PC police who might be trolling: you may need to retreat to a “safe space” before reading further.
Via The Blaze:
The sign on the front door of the Ohio family bakery states things plainly:
A photo of the sign hit the Internet this week, and its unapologetic, pro-American message began going viral Friday. So how have things been since then at Schuler’s Bakery in Springfield?
Staffers manning the Sunday evening crowd told TheBlaze that not only is the sign still affixed to the front door, but also business has doubled.
“We didn’t do it for the publicity,” Katelynn Jackson said during a phone interview. “It was just to prove a point.”
Meanwhile, apparently some delicate snowflakes have decided to stay away from the scary bakery — opting instead to voice displeasure and vitriol through phone calls. Because it’s so much easier to spew venom when you don’t have to look the person in the eye, right?
And through it all, it’s clear the sign at Schuler’s is driving home one important point: “We still live in America,” Jackson said, “and we’re standing up for what we believe.”
Three cheers for the folks at Schuler’s for standing proud of America and the institutions that make it great. And I have a suggestion to the folks who are offended by the sign: as the sign says, “If this offends you, you are welcome to leave.” If the fabric of America offends you, you’re welcome to leave. I hear Syria is lovely this time of year.
