SHOCK: New York Times just admitted Trump is RIGHT about this…

In what may be a first, the Democrat public relations arm known as The New York Times just did the unthinkable — for them, at least. Its editorial board has just stepped up and acknowledged presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is “right” about something.

The New York Times’s editorial board says Donald Trump is “right” that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s criticisms of him are inappropriate.

“Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg needs to drop the political punditry and the name-calling,” the newspaper said in an editorial published Wednesday.

Ginsburg earlier this week slammed the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, saying she “can’t imagine what the country would be” like if Trump were to serve as president. The justice also called Trump a “faker” who “has no consistency about him.”

Trump said in response it was “highly inappropriate” that a Supreme Court judge get involved with a political campaign.

The New York Times said Ginsburg’s comments show why Supreme Court justices normally remain silent during presidential campaigns.

“In this election cycle in particular, the potential of a new president to affect the balance of the court has taken on great importance, with the vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia,” the paper’s editorial board said.

“As Justice Ginsburg pointed out, other justices are nearing an age when retirement would not be surprising. That makes it vital that the court remain outside the presidential process.”

While we’re at it, someone ought to remind the SCOTUS justices — all of them — that they are supposed to be entirely apolitical, whether a high-stakes election is underway or not. Equally, if not more, important as the Supreme Court staying out of the business of blatant politicking is their staying out of the business of legislating. This is a critical distinction that the Supreme Court itself seems to have forgotten, willfully or not. It’s no wonder a mere 36% of Americans have high confidence in the highest court of the land.

Back to the NYT, lest you think the world has turned COMPLETELY upside down, of course the paper had to offset its agreement with Trump with a slam on Trump related to his claims that Gonzalo Curiel, the federal judge overseeing a fraud lawsuit against Trump University, would be biased against him because of Curiel’s Mexican heritage.

“Mr. Trump’s hands, of course, are far from clean on the matter of judicial independence,” the paper said.

“All of which makes it only more baffling that Justice Ginsburg would choose to descend toward his level and call her own commitment to impartiality into question. Washington is more than partisan enough without the spectacle of a Supreme Court justice flinging herself into the mosh pit.”

There you have the NYT’s true colors showing.

However, there is a HUGE difference between the case of Donald Trump’s comments about Judge Curiel and Justice Ginsberg’s comments about Trump. Trump will be held accountable for his comments — whether you agree with them or not — at the voting booth this fall.

Who will hold the unelected, serving-for-life Justice Ginsberg accountable for her blatant misuse of her office? One might even argue it rises to the level of misconduct for a Supreme Court justice. Moreover, Justice Ginsburg’s inappropriate comments demonstrate that she, indeed, has a political agenda and — I would add — therefore is unfit to serve on the highest court in the land.

Trump has called for Ginsburg’s resignation… what do y’all think should happen?
