Seriously? Look who HIRED Woman in Charge of Hillary Email Scandal

While the news that Hillary Clinton’s private email server will now be handed over to the Justice Department feels like a big step forward in what has been a frustratingly slow, foot-dragging process, it’s indeed just that: one step forward. We’re all painfully aware that what happens from here depends largely on how top Obama administration officials choose to act — or not — in this matter.

Of course, one of the chief players in this drama is Attorney General Loretta Lynch. As self-described recovering reporter and radio talk show host Brian Wilson so aptly tweeted:

And while we’d be skeptical in any case about how vociferously any member of Obama’s administration — or the Democrat party in general — would go after one of their own, we have even more reason than usual to doubt Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s ability to be “neutral” in the Hillary Clinton matter.

Indeed, the attorney general would appear to have a clear conflict of interest.

As Good Morning America | Yahoo! News reported several weeks back:

The latest controversy over Hillary Clinton‘s use of a personal email system while secretary of state is not only a possible drag on her presidential campaign, but it also creates a potential headache for Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

Before becoming attorney general, Lynch served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. It was her second time in the position, having been first appointed by President Bill Clinton in 1999.

Lynch declined to say whether her connection to the Clintons creates a conflict of interest for her now.

Of COURSE she did. Why would any upstanding FOC (Friend of Clintons) come out and declare such a thing?

The Examiner was a bit more pointed in reporting this connection, asking directly whether the attorney general’s connection to Bill Clinton is actually saving Hillary Clinton.

United States Attorney General Loretta Lynch is faced with what is likely going to be her toughest challenge ever. She is now forced into the position to deciding what to do about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email investigation… While that might not look like such a big deal on the surface, the incredible suggestion of there being a conflict of interest in the case is incredible. The problem is that Loretta Lynch, one would assume, is beholden to the Clintons.

Before becoming attorney general under President Barack Obama, Lynch served as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. It was her second time holding that job. The first time she was appointed to that job, she was appointed by Hillary Clinton’s husband. She was appointed by former President Bill Clinton in 1999. Again, the notion that there is a conflict of interest in Lynch calling the shots to investigate a Clinton is incredible.

As some might suggest – or, as luck would have it – AG Lynch is now in the position to determine what needs to be done about a possible investigation into the emails. If she isn’t vigilant in her investigation, it will obviously be seen as a case of “lawyers investigating lawyers” which means that there will be nothing to the investigation and – regardless of what’s there – Hillary Clinton will come out of the investigation just fine.

Lynch has refused to say if her relation to the Clinton administration in the past is a conflict of interest – which seems to be apparent.

So, maybe an amendment to Brian Wilson’s above tweet is: Now we will see if @LorettaLynch is the AG of the United States — or the AG for the Clintons.

Sadly, in this case, one of our best hopes for justice for Hillary Clinton may lie in the hands of President Obama. (Yes, I do realize how twisted and sad that sounds.) As we’ve written here:

The Obamas despise the Clintons and they realize that if Hillary and Bill Clinton return to 1600 Pennsylvania, they’ll be relegated to being a footnote. Barack Obama’s ego is so grand, he needs to be viewed as the progressive socialist Ronald Reagan and desires his agenda to continue. Obama wants to be the one who coronates his successor, someone who will be indebted to him. Obama wants to be able to turn over his machine to someone he can trust. That is not Hillary Clinton.

Given that, might Obama wield his influence with his appointee Attorney General Lynch to sway political fortunes to his own vision?

I suppose we’ll eventually find out where AG Lynch’s true loyalties lie. Place your bets now!
