Police have just arrested three people heading into New York City carrying a cache of weapons and ballistics vests.
As Fox News reports:
Three people were arrested when police discovered a weapons cache and ballistic vests in a vehicle on the New Jersey side of the Holland Tunnel on Tuesday, officials told NBC4.

Authorities arrested two men in their 50s and a woman in her 30s after finding multiple loaded long-range weapons, handguns, ballistic vests and a camouflage helmet in the vehicle. The trio, who may be from Pennsylvania, was initially stopped for a cracked windshield. A search of the vehicle turned up the weapons.
While Fox News and other sources report that the Joint Terrorism Task Force is assisting the investigation, multiple media sources have been quick to claim the incident has no relation to terrorism.
ABC New York reported: The arrests do not have a connection to any terrorism. NBC New York reported: Two senior law enforcement officials say the three suspects are so-called “gun enthusiasts” and have no nexus to terror. There is no known threat.
So, yeah, those “gun enthusiasts” who are carrying body armor and night vision goggles?
Excuse me if I (Michelle Jesse) am not ready to quickly accept assurances from the media and “authorities” that this is absolutely “not terror related.”
How is it that more than a week after the Orlando shooting, authorities tell us they’re still not sure of the motive — and in fact are denying any association with terror, despite the shooter’s own declarations of allegiance to ISIS in multiple forms? And here they are, moments after an arrest, already able to call these folks mere “gun enthusiasts”?
