No one was shocked by the reinforcement in yesterday’s Benghazi hearings that, indeed, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton knew — almost immediately — that the September 11, 2012 attack in Benghazi was a planned terrorist attack, not a spontaneous protest about a video. And, sadly, few were surprised that this woman who wants to be President of the United States continued to blatantly lie to the American people for so long about such a serious matter.
Despicably, the families of the four Americans killed in Benghazi have also been lied to. But what we just learned about what Secretary Clinton told at least one of the victim’s family members is actually shocking — shockingly sick.
Via The Blaze:
The sister of slain Benghazi hero Glen Doherty, Kate Quigley, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that she previously met with former Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and, in retrospect, feels like the Democrat chose to “perpetuate what she knew was not true.”
Following the deadly Benghazi terror attacks, Quigley said Clinton told her family how “sad” they should feel for the Libyan people because they are “uneducated” and that “breeds fear, which breeds violence and leads to a protest.”“I remember thinking at the time, ‘Wow, how selfish of me. I never really thought about the Libyan people, I’ve been consumed with my own grief, and loss, and concern,’” she recalled. “And when I think back now to that day and what she knew, it shows me a lot about her character that she would choose in that moment to basically perpetuate what she knew was untrue.” Cooper said it seems “unusual” that Clinton would even make those comments while the victims’ families were grieving.
“It was very strange,” Quigley said. “I thought about it, and I never spoke about it for a long time.”
Watch the segment below:
Secretary Clinton’s comments to a grieving sister reveal both her disdain for this American, as well as her disdain for the people of Libya. For Clinton to — not just lie to — but lay a guilt trip on a woman who just lost her brother in a horrific attack is just beyond belief. For her to carry the video ruse so far as to suggest Ms. Quigley direct her deep sadness to the Libyan people — who actually had nothing to do with her brother’s death in actuality — is just twisted and reveals the cold heart that lies beneath Clinton’s cool exterior.
Clinton’s comments about the Libyan people are condescending and demeaning, revealing her feelings that she’s “above” these lesser beings.
Which, I would posit, is exactly the way she feels about the American people. Her continued lies show she thinks we don’t have a right to the truth and too naive (perhaps stupid) to see through them. Her cavalier actions — like high-fiving at yesterday’s hearing — belie her blatant disrespect for the dead Americans, their families and the American people seeking the truth. Clinton runs around living as a VIP — closing down Bergdorf’s for her $600 haircut, for example — and yet expects us to believe she’s a woman of the people.
Hillary Clinton clearly does not buy into the concept central to our republic that our government is to be of the people, by the people — and FOR the people. For Hillary, it’s all about HER.
I pray the Hillary Clinton supporters will wake up to how this would-be POTUS actually feels about the American people — the people she would be in office to serve. If you pay attention at all, it’s clear the only person she wants to serve is herself.
My heart goes out to Ms. Quigley and all of the victim’s families. I can only imagine the pain of losing my brother in such a horrific way, and to have it compounded by this kind of treatment at the hands of our so-called leaders it just unacceptable.
