WATCH: New footage of Times Square incident raises DISTURBING questions

On Thursday, in New York’s Times Square, a man drove his speeding car onto the sidewalk, injuring 22 and killing one.

The media was quick to announce the man “appeared to be intoxicated” and had a history of arrests for driving under the influence. He was identified as a 26-year-old Navy veteran named Richard Rojas.

According to ABCNY.com Rojas told police after he was tackled following the mayhem in Times Square that police should have shot him to stop him and that he wanted to “kill them all,” prosecutors said. He told police that he had smoked marijuana laced with PCP, according to a criminal complaint.

After the wreck Thursday, Rojas emerged from his vehicle running, yelling and jumping before being subdued by police and bystanders in a chaotic scene. “He began screaming, no particular words but just utter screaming. He was swinging his arms at the same time, said Ken Bradix, a security supervisor at a nearby Planet Hollywood restaurant who tackled Rojas.

This graphic footage shows the incident from a variety of angles.

The New York authorities and the media are painting this as a disturbed veteran with mental health issues. What do you think?

One thing is for sure – no one is going to make this into a gun control story. So will the left start going after cars?
