Liberalism and hypocrisy go together like peanut butter and jelly. You just can’t have one without the other.
From the Hollywood elites telling you to use only one square of toilet paper while flying around in private jets, to millionaire congressman railing against the evil “one percenters,” to the #blacklivematters folks only caring about black lives if a white life pulled the trigger, it would seem impossible to miss the laughable rampant hypocrisy doled out on a daily basis by the progressive left.
And here’s another shining example, as reported by The Daily Caller:
An advocacy group out of Modesto, Calif. pushing for a $15 an hour minimum wage posted a job ad Thursday offering to pay $12 an hour. Below what it is demanding others pay their workers.
The Craigslist post was for a job opening at the local Fight for $15 campaign. On the national level, the organization has spearheaded the push to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour. The post was signed by Steven Applebaum who lists his affiliation with the Modesto Fight for $15 campaign.“Do you make minimum wage?” the posting asked. “Can you afford your bills and expenses? Do you hope and pray that you won’t ever face a medical or car bill because you don’t have the savings to cover it?” The compensation is listed in the corner of the post. It noted the pay comes from a union strike fund but doesn’t go into further detail. The movement consist of a national office and many local affiliates and is heavily endorsed and controlled by labor unions. The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) is the main union behind the campaign.
There’s really not much more to add really, is there?
Oh…remember that CEO, Dan Price, who gave all of his employees a $70,000 minimum wage and cut his own salary? The company says profit and customer retention is up. But he’s had to sell all his stocks, empty his retirement accounts, mortgage two properties and rent out his house to “make ends meet.” Added to that, he’s being sued by his brother Lucas for “improperly (using) his majority control of the company to pay himself excessive compensation” prior to changing the company’s salary structure. According to Inc. magazine, the suit’s high legal fees might end up sinking the company.
Oh, those wacky liberals. If only they weren’t the ones
running ruining our country…
