Trump makes confession about Cruz at NRA convention NO ONE saw coming

Most people would agree – especially after the 2016 cycle — that politics is indeed a blood sport. Getting into the arena is not for the faint of heart, and verbal punches will be thrown in the course of a campaign.

But after the “game” is over, can everyone just walk off the field and get along as friends? Maybe, maybe not.

Donald Trump’s comments about Senator John McCain during the campaign seem to have left quite a mark, as McCain hasn’t exactly been a Trump cheerleader in the last hundred days.

Senator Ted Cruz and candidate Donald Trump started out as buddies early on in the campaign, but then it got a little testy as they both emerged as frontrunners for the nomination. Cruz was not well-loved at the GOP convention when he did not expressly endorse Trump and encouraged Republicans to “vote their conscience.”

But today at the NRA Annual Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, President Trump appeared to publicly bury the hatchet with Cruz.

Naturally, Trump got trolled for this comment.

But come on folks. How many times have you changed your feelings about colleagues and acquaintances over time? It’s just good to see some conservative unity for ONCE. Let’s hope it lasts.
