Many professions and corporations require drug-testing for their employees. No one gets upset about it. But try to introduce state legislation to mandate drug testing of welfare recipients, and everyone gets up in arms and says it’s unconstitutional.
Currently Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Georgia, Kansas, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Utah require drug testing. Florida’s law was halted by a District Judge. Which way will the other states go? Who knows.
