In the litany of boneheaded statements coming from the Obama administration (and of course from our Dear Leader himself), this one has to rank pretty high.
Last week, during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing regarding GIMTO, Brian McKeon, the principal deputy undersecretary of defense for policy said “It is no coincidence that the recent ISIS videos showing the barbaric burning of a Jordanian pilot and the savage execution of a Japanese hostage each showed the victim clothed in an orange jumpsuit, believed by many to be the symbol of the Guantanamo detention facility,” as reported by Mediaite.com.
Yep, that makes perfect sense. So that’s why they hate us! Why didn’t we think of this sooner?
Islamic State is just angry about those orange jumpsuits at GITMO, and so makes a point of savagely killing people wearing orange. If there were no GITMO, and no orange jumpsuits, there’d by no killing by Islamic State, right?
Well, except for this killing. And this killing.
And this killing.
But yep, if we just closed GITMO, got rid of the orange jumpsuits, and set free all the rest of those captured Islamists, all the violence would end.
No wonder Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize!
