Let’s just review…
There has been zero, zip, zilch, nada evidence that Russia and Donald Trump’s campaign were in cahoots to rig the election (although we do know for a fact that the DNC and the media DID collude to rig the election for Hillary).
The House Intel committee says there’s no evidence.
Russia denies it.
But that hasn’t stopped the anti-Trump brigade from launching investigations and making allegations about Russia’s involvement while the liberal media gleefully stirs the pot.
Russia has had it up to here, and is launching an investigation of its own.Breitbart reports, The Russian parliament has ordered an investigation into U.S. media organizations, including CNN and the Voice of America, “for compliance of their activities with Russian legislation,” according to a statement made on its website Friday.
The State Duma, or lower house in Russian parliament, ordered an “audit” of Radio Liberty, the Voice of America, CNN, and other U.S. media to see if they are breaking any of the nation’s laws, USA Today reported. The decision was reportedly made in retaliation against a bill introduced by Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) earlier this week that would allow the Department of Justice to use more tools to investigate state-owned Russian media outlet RT America for potential violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA).
“We have good reason to believe that RT News is coordinating with the Russian government to spread misinformation and undermine our democratic process,” said Shaheen in a press release. “The American public has a right to know if this is the case.”
Are you kidding Sen. Shaheen? Would you also like to investigate the New York Times, CNN and MSNBC for spreading misinformation and undermining our democratic process?
Clearly Vladimir Putin’s Russia is no harmless fuzzball on the world stage, but we have plenty of internal forces trying to undermine the Trump administration.
And frankly if Russia does find CNN broke some laws there lots of folks might not mind seeing them punished.
