Allen B. West

Oh boy: MSNBC host BANS Kellyanne Conway from her show because…

Disclaimer: I (Michele Hickford) worked as Press Secretary during Col. West’s 2012 congressional campaign. I was not involved in any campaign strategy development or decisions. But I did field lots of calls and questions from the press. I made a habit of not responding to reporters’ inquiries until I had spoken with the campaign manager to ensure I was delivering the correct message.

Even at that level, it was brutal.

Although that campaign was the most expensive (and therefore, highly watched) congressional campaign in the nation at the time, I encountered a mere molecule of manure compared to the pile of pushback poo Kellyanne Conway is facing now. Let me tell you, I feel for this woman.

Yesterday, she was in the hot seat for retweeting a complementary tweet from some random supporter. If you have thousands and thousands of followers, you can’t possibly know the interests and backgrounds of all of them.

Unfortunately for Conway, the press picked up on the fact that this fan had also used “alt-right” or “nationalist” hashtags at some point in the past on some of his tweets.

So in their mind, Conway was endorsing and supporting a white supremacist. NO she wasn’t. She (or whoever monitors her Twitter account) was simply saying thank you for the kind words. But the media is having a field day.

Last week, it was Ivanka’s dresses and Nordstrom’s decision to stop selling them. In a morning show interview, Conway jokingly suggested people should buy more of “Ivanka’s stuff.” Now all of a sudden the leftists are talking about investigating her for an ethics violation. SERIOUSLY PEOPLE??

And just this morning we learn the host of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Mika Brzezinski, will no longer allow Conway on her show. (Frankly, between us chickens, I’d be heaving a sigh of relief).

The Hill reports:

“I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Brzezinski said of Conway on Wednesday morning.

“I don’t believe in fake news or information that is not true. That is — every time I’ve ever seen her on television something is askew, off, or incorrect,” she added.

Co-host Joe Scarborough chimed in to say Conway may not have been knowingly spreading false information, but was just making statements “to prove her relevance.”

“I don’t even think she’s saying something she knows to be untrue,” Scarborough said. “She’s just saying things just to get in front of the TV to prove her relevance because behind the scenes she’s not in these meetings and any reporter can ask anybody in that White House and they will say the same thing. She’s not in these meetings. So why does the president allow her to keep going out and spreading false information?”

Brzezinski said Conway is “not credible anymore.”

“Not credible anymore?” Gee, coming from MSNBC that really is RICH. Besides, if you had a guest who would always step in it and make themselves look foolish (if that were truly the case), wouldn’t you WANT them on your show? Heck, it’s making Tucker Carlson a FORTUNE.

Whatever. Like I said, if I were Conway, I’d say thank GAWD.
