London mayor drops major TRUTH BOMB about Obama

London’s mayor Boris Johnson is brash and outspoken with somewhat alarming hair – sound like anyone you know? He’s also currently favored to succeed David Cameron as Prime Minister, leading the Conservatives in the United Kingdom.

In advance of President Obama’s visit to Prime Minister Cameron, the mayor penned a column for The Sun newspaper blasting Obama for essentially meddling in the affairs of the UK, trying to convince the nation to remain in the European Union.

Britons will vote in a referendum on June 23rd regarding whether or not the UK should stay in the EU or make a British exit or “Brexit.” Proponents point to the shaky economy of Greece and the Muslim influx made possible by the EUs invisible borders as reason enough to head for the Brexit.

Johnson begins his column by decrying the removal of Sir Winston Churchill’s bust from the Oval Office. You might remember that kerfuffle.

The Guardian writes, The White House said in 2012 that the story of the bust being moved was “100 per cent false” and that the bust remained in the White House, having been moved to the president’s private residence.

It was however later forced to clarify that the Churchill bust still located in the President’s residence was in fact a different bust, and that one had indeed been removed.

But it’s Johnson’s comments about the incident that slammed Obama hard: “Some said it was a snub to Britain. Some said it was a symbol of the part-Kenyan President’s ancestral dislike of the British empire.”

Ouch. “Part-Kenyan.” Nobody here would DARE use those words to describe Barack Hussein Obama – but I daresay a lot of folks here share the concern that Obama seems to demonstrate not only an “ancestral dislike” of Britain, but of America as well.

In his column, Johnson points out the negative impact the EU has had on Britain’s sovereignty, and how the progressive policies that drove the Union together initially are in danger of tearing it apart.

It is a tragedy that the European Union – that body long ago established with the high and noble motive of making another war impossible – is itself beginning to stifle democracy, in this country and around Europe.
If you include both primary and secondary legislation, the EU now generates 60 per cent of all the laws that pass through Westminster.

We are giving £20bn a year, or £350m a week, to Brussels – about half of which is spent by EU bureaucrats in this country, and half we never see again.

We have lost control of our borders to Brussels; we have lost control of our trade policy; and with every year that passes we see the EU take control of more and more areas of public policy.

It sounds like a nightmare to my conservative ears for sure.

Naturally liberals in the UK were quick to jump on Johnson’s comments with cries of racism. Labour’s shadow chancellor John McDonnell said “Mask slips again. Boris part-Kenyan Obama comment is yet another example of dog whistle racism from senior Tories. He should withdraw it.”

You see, it truly is a small world after all.
