Remember that day when Madonna and Ashley Judd went off on their tirades about being “angry, nasty women?” Well, few would deny that is actually the truth.
Liberal women seem to be always cranky about something. They rant and rave about “equality” and “health” but are curiously silent when females who aren’t flaming leftists actually accomplish something truly badass.
So of course you probably don’t know that the commander of one of the U.S Navy ships that fired those Tomahawk missiles at Syria last week is…a woman.Yes, Andria Slough is the commander of the USS Porter, one of two Navy destroyers that launched the attack.
According to the Navy website, the USS Porter is forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, and departed on its third forward-deployed patrol Nov. 30, to conduct routine patrols in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.Slough took command of Porter Jan. 28, 2016. In February Porter went to the Black Sea and participated in the Romanian led exercise Sea Shield. In March, Porter participated in the multilateral Allied Maritime Command anti-submarine, anti-surface warfare Exercise Dynamic Manta 2017. Also in March, Porter was awarded the 2016 Atlantic Fleet “Bloodhound” award, signifying the best ship in the fleet at anti-submarine warfare.
After last week’s strike, Slough received a call from President Trump.“In general, the President was impressed with Porter’s precision and lethality. It was obvious he was extremely pleased with our performance and is glad we’re out here patrolling in U.S. 6th Fleet,” Slough said.
Now THAT’S girl power – or should we say grrrrrl power. Thank you for your service, ma’am!
