Key White House communications staffer OUT; media makes STUNNING claim…

Please pay close attention to the spin which will be given to this story by the liberal media.

Boris Epshteyn, a key White House communications staffer, is reportedly “abruptly” leaving his job.

Epshteyn played a key role during Donald Trump’s campaign as a “surrogate,” appearing almost daily on cable news shows defending the candidate and his policies. Since Trump’s election, Epshteyn has been responsible for booking White House officials on news shows.

Epshteyn is a friend of Eric Trump’s, and that’s presumably how he found himself in the inner Trump circle.

Apparently, Epshteyn is also a bit of jerk at times.

Politico reported earlier this month, on all three cable news networks, according to more than half a dozen interviews with TV insiders and contributors, Epshteyn has earned a reputation as someone who is combative and sometimes difficult to work with, even when he arrives at studios as a guest of a network. He has offended people in green rooms with comments they have interpreted as racially insensitive and demeaning.

“His off-camera behavior was even more distasteful than his on-camera behavior,” said Joy-Ann Reid, a national correspondent for MSNBC, who often sparred with Epshteyn on television during the campaign.

Now, I must insert myself (Michele Hickford) into this story. When I worked in Col. West’s congressional office, and later as Press Secretary for his 2012 campaign, I was responsible for liaising with the media for booking and interviews. I was counseled by other senior members of the team to NEVER piss off the bookers – and especially not Fox News. I was mortified the day I actually got a call from Greta van Susteren herself who was complaining we had cancelled an interview. I don’t remember the circumstances now, but I had to graciously explain why Col. West was unable to make that appearance.

The point is, as much as they need you, we need them and you want to keep that relationship as strong as possible. Even when “unfriendly” media would call me, and I knew I couldn’t divulge anything, I would congenially answer the phone with “Hello, how can I NOT help you today?” One of the great compliments I received was from a local liberal reporter who once told me, “Michele, you were always fair and treated me with respect.”

But enough about me.

It’s not hard to see how an abrasive manner from someone like Epshteyn could poison an important relationship. And it’s healthy for the Trump administration to decide he needs a different job.

Of course, that’s not exactly how the media will spin it because, RUSSIA.

The Daily Kos even has a story today titled Is Boris Epshteyn a Russian Agent?

So now the drumbeats begin. GASP. Epshteyn is the Russian mole in the White House. Epshteyn may be the “source” behind that bogus “dossier” on Trump. Epshteyn is Putin’s love child (I made that one up).

No, I think it’s highly likely the boorish Epshteyn just got on too many people’s nerves. But standby to watch the spin. It should be entertaining.
