FBI says no way to check refugees coming to US; while Obama issues this statement

Last month, mere weeks before the attack in Paris, FBI director James Comey said at a House Committee on Homeland Security hearing that the federal government does not have the ability to conduct thorough background checks on all of the 10,000 Syrian refugees that the Obama administration says will be allowed to come to the U.S.

Although we now know that number is set to increase significantly.

Comey said “We can only query against that which we have collected. And so if someone has never made a ripple in the pond in Syria in a way that would get their identity or their interest reflected in our database, we can query our database until the cows come home, but there will be nothing show up because we have no record of them,” according to the Daily Caller.

On Fox with Megyn Kelly on Friday, former FBI director James Kallstrom reiterated this after the Paris attack, saying the refugee policy was ‘crazy’ and that the FBI didn’t have enough manpower to watch the people that needed to be watched ‘by the thousands.’

But don’t you worry your pretty little American head, because our Dear Leader assures us the problem is contained in Europe – just as he had said last week that ISIS was contained in the Middle East (before they broke out of their container and blew up Paris).

Before departing for his party in Turkey and the Climate Change Summit, the White House issued the following statement saying, “there was no specific or credible threat to the United States.”

Oh whew, now I can sleep MUCH better. All those ISIS tweets and threats promising death and destruction in the United States? Nah, they’re not specific or credible. So just like Hillary Clinton and what’s-his-name said last night, why not let SIXTY-FIVE-THOUSAND Syrians in!

Nothing to see here. Move along.
