Just two weeks into his term in office, the outrage and hysteria over President Donald Trump shows no sign of dying down. Secretive protests are planned for Houston on Super Bowl Sunday. Lady Gaga is reportedly planning to weave some sort of commentary into her halftime show while hanging upside down from the ceiling of the NRG Stadium (or something). Bruce Springsteen now says he’s “embarrassed” to be an American. A federal judge is pushing back against the travel ban. There have been tens of thousands of tweets posted about assassinating the president.
And that’s just what’s happening outside of Washington DC. Closer to the White House, the Democrats are doing everyone in their power to stop the president’s cabinet picks — and we haven’t even started the fight over his Supreme Court nomination.
But after Rep. John Lewis boycotted the inauguration and publicly stated Trump was an “illegitimate president” it was of course only a matter of time before that rhetoric was ratcheted up. And, as if on cue, we now have the ever-entertaining Democrat congresswoman from California, Maxine Waters (who has been serving in Congress for 26 years) mentioning the “I” word.
As Breitbart reports, Friday on “Cheddar,” a “live and on-demand video news network,” Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said her “greatest desire” is to lead President Donald Trump “right into impeachment.”
Waters said, “I hope he’s not there for four years. I hope that this man and who he is, what he’s done, the way that he has defined himself, the way that he is acting—I am hoping that we are able to reveal all of this. And my greatest desire is to lead him right into impeachment.”

Now given the fact that Republicans hold majorities in both the House and Senate, this is probably highly unlikely, but the fact it’s being discussed only two weeks into the president’s term is frankly ridiculous.
However, now that the floodgates are officially open on the topic, (and apologies in advance for the mixed metaphors) you can bet this will be the steady drumbeat from here on out from the left. Not only is Trump’s presidency “illegitimate” but he should be impeached.
You know, critics attack Trump for being distracted by silly Twitter storms, but the fact is he’s getting stuff done. Democrats on the other hand are doing everything in their power to get NOTHING done under President Trump other than bloviating, finding new ways to call Trump a Nazi and now talking about how to remove him from office.
This crap is getting old already.
