BREAKING: After Dems attack Sessions over Russia meetings, he makes STUNNING announcement

The Democrats continue to “weaponize” Russia as a weapon against Donald Trump’s administration.

They’ve managed to keep the “election influence” story alive now, going into its fourth month. They’ve done their best to keep the cloud of suspicion hanging over the entire Trump administration, and successfully took out Michael Flynn, Trump’s first choice as national security adviser.

Now they’re going after Attorney General Jeff Sessions, because he supposedly ALSO talked to the Russian ambassador in a private conversation, which he did not disclose during his hearing confirmation.

NBC reports, Attorney General Jeff Sessions denied meeting with Russian officials during the course of the presidential election to discuss the Trump campaign, he told NBC News in exclusive remarks early Thursday.

“I have not met with any Russians at any time to discuss any political campaign,” he said, “and those remarks are unbelievable to me and are false. And I don’t have anything else to say about that.”

However, Sessions’ spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday night that he had met with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. before the presidential election last year in his capacity as a then-senator — raising questions about whether he misled fellow senators during his attorney general confirmation hearing in January.

But as the concern grows over supposed coziness with the Russian government, Sessions did make one large concession, in a stunning announcement on NBC today.

Sessions was also asked whether he would step aside from investigating alleged ties between Trump’s surrogates and intermediaries for the Russian government — as a growing chorus of Democrats and some Republicans have demanded.

“I have said whenever it’s appropriate, I will recuse myself,” he said. “There’s no doubt about that.”

Spokeswoman Sarah Isgur Flores told NBC News that Sessions, who was a prominent Trump surrogate, did have a conversation with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak last year. The meeting was first reported by The Washington Post.

Flores said “there was absolutely nothing misleading about his answer” because Sessions was asked about “communications between Russia and the Trump campaign” and not about meetings he took as a senator with the Armed Services Committee.

Of course Democrats are already calling for Sessions’ resignation.

Starting with Nancy Pelosi

And Al Franken (like we care)

As well as our buddies from the Bush administration

Oh brother. This is really getting frustrating. NOBODY seems to want President Trump to be allowed to govern…except for the millions of Americans who actually voted him into office.

One thing’s for sure, if this nonsense continues all the way until 2018, Trump supporters will be getting their revenge at the polls at the midterm elections.
