After London elects first Muslim mayor, Putin gives Brits ASTONISHING offer

Last week London elected human rights lawyer and practicing Muslim Sadiq Khan as its mayor — the first Muslim to lead a major Western capital city. It was a bitter campaign with Conservatives questioning Khan’s previous ties to Islamists and Labour crying Islamophobia and racism. In the end, Khan beat his rival Zac Goldsmith 56.8 percent to 43.2 percent.

At the same time, hoping to expand his population and capitalize on the growing dissatisfaction many Britons are feeling with the United Kingdom, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is making an offer some might not be able to refuse: FREE land.

There is of course a catch. It’s in Siberia.

According to The Express, the sprawling plots, which are 2.5 acres in size, are located in an enormous region stretching from the Arctic Circle to the Chinese border, where winter temperatures can drop to a chilling -47 degrees celsius and population density currently stands at three people per square kilometre.

But its not all bad news for adventurous house-hunters. The far east of Russia is famed for its stunning natural beauty, with hundreds of miles of rolling hills, grass plains and soaring mountain ranges. Known as the land where ice meets fire, settlers can look forward to hiking the snow-covered slopes of active volcanos or relaxing in hot springs.

Summers are also long and comfortably warm, with 25 degree celsius temperatures providing the perfect climate in which to explore the region’s dramatic landscapes.

And there’s one more catch. You have to live there for five years before you take full control of your home. If you make it that far, you’ll be “rewarded” with Russian citizenship so you can continue living there or sell the property.

The Russian Homestead Act was first proposed by Yury Trutnev, the presidential envoy to the Far East Federal District, early 2015.

He saw the project as a way to “strengthen the tendency of people’s migration to the Far East” and has appealed to “anyone who is willing to come and live in the region so that they could start a private business in farming, forestry, game hunting or some other enterprise.”

There’s no infrastructure to speak of so any business will be rustic to say the least.

Russia’s Far East Development Minister Alexander Galushka said there has already been interest in the land opportunity with a number of applications having already been received.

You know, a number of high profile liberals including Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg and Al Sharpton have vowed to leave the United States if Donald Trump is elected president. I wonder if Putin would extend them the same offer? But then again, I wonder if he’d WANT them!
