In case you’re skeptical about just how far the corruption of liberalism reaches into the government-run public education system, look no further than what’s happening at a high school in New Jersey.
A student, the class president in fact, is demanding Wall Township High School issue an apology after editing the Trump logo off his shirt and removing a quote by the president in a photo in the school yearbook.
Yeah, that’s not trampling free speech or anything.
The Washington Free Beacon is reporting, A New Jersey high school has come under criticism for digitally removing Donald Trump logos from two students’ yearbook photos and removed a quote by Trump set to appear under the freshman class president’s photo.
Wall Township High School junior Grant Berardo was disappointed to see that the “Trump: Make America Great Again” text on his shirt was no longer there; the logo was there in the photo proofs in November, according to a report from CNN.“He was disappointed. This was the first election he has been interested in,” Berardo’s father said.
He wants the yearbooks reissued and an apology.A Trump logo was also missing from junior Wyatt Dobrovich-Fago’s vest. And a quote by Trump, “I like thinking big. If you are going to be thinking anything, you might as well think big,” was missing from his sister Montana’s freshman class president photo.
Wall Township Public Schools Superintendent Cheryl Dyer sent a letter to parents saying she was investigating.
“The high school administration was not aware of and does not condone any censorship of political views on the part of our students. This includes statements that they might make or clothing with references to candidates for public office that they might wear,” she said.
“The school’s dress code does prohibit references to illegal activity such as use of drugs, alcohol or weapons,” the letter also said.
As of Monday, the New York Daily News reported that a teacher who was the yearbook adviser has been suspended pending an investigation.
Naturally, no changes like these were made to any pro-Hillary or Bernie Sanders shirts.
Just one more reason to get rid of the Department of Education — and consider home schooling.
