School honors police and military; what happens next is DISGRACEFUL

We’re now living in an era where it’s become cool and hip to bash police officers, thanks in large part to the liberal media, which has propagated a false narrative that paints cops up as evil racist miscreants.

The reasoning for this nonsense is to help make liberal politicians look like civil rights heroes in order to win over minority voters to the Democratic Party.

However, things are taking a seriously awful turn after the American Civil Liberties Union has come out criticizing a high school for holding an event that honors first responders and military.

Fox News is reporting, A New Jersey high school has come under fire after holding a ceremony honoring law enforcement, military and first responders before a football game Friday night.

According to NJ.com, an organizer with the New Jersey chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union claimed the ceremony sent a “frightening message.”

Middletown police Deputy Chief Stephen Dollinger organized the event before a highly-anticipated game between Middletown High School South and Toms River High School North. It featured State Police Pipes and Drums of the Blue and Gold, state and local mounted units, personnel from all of the branches of the military and officers from several local offices.

The ceremony also honored a Linden police officer who was wounded in a shootout with Ahmad Khan Rahimi, who is accused of planting IEDs in Seaside Park, Elizabeth and New York City.

Chief Dollinger went on to state the whole purpose of the event was to respond to pro-athletes like Colin Kaepernick who have been protesting by taking a knee during the National Anthem.

The ALCU penned a memo out to the school condemning the event.

“As initially described, the event appeared to honor police officers, veterans, service members, and first responders,” the chapter wrote in the letter.

It continued, “It is a disservice to the students and players that an event that should focus on them, their families, and their communities is being used to send a message that people who express concerns about disparities in the criminal justice system are unwelcome, disloyal or unpatriotic.”

One ACLU organizer, Jasmine Crenshaw, claimed the event sent a “frightening message” that police wouldn’t tolerate people expressing views on the nation’s “history of unequal treatment and systematic oppression.”

Yes, it’s dangerous to celebrate and honor the individuals who lay their lives down on the line day in and day out to make sure we’re safe. These people can’t be serious, can they?

Unfortunately, it seems they are, which is ludicrous and sad. These folks continue to claim police officers are “systemically oppressing” people, yet neglect to mention that in most cases of force, the individuals shot by law enforcement were refusing to comply or possessed a weapon they refused to give up.

Then again, facts get in the way of the narrative, and we just can’t have that, now, can we?
