One of the first acts President Trump took as president, earning him the love of liberals everywhere — sarcasm — was his travel ban for those entering America from nations known to harbor terrorists.
Yes, the president actually trying to keep our nation safe from a bunch of crazies who want to shoot us, blow us up, decapitate us, or rule over us with an iron fist makes him the equivalent of Hitler to the left.
The order has now been revised, and one country formerly on the list has been removed: Iraq. A new report reveals the reason behind the removal.
According to Reuters:
Iraq was dropped from President Donald Trump’s revised travel ban because of both the steps it is taking to better vet potential travelers and its cooperation in the fight to destroy Islamic State, the U.S. State Department said on Tuesday.“I think both,” State Department spokesman Mark Toner said when asked at a daily news briefing which of those two factors played a role in Iraq’s removal from the list in President Donald Trump’s executive order issued this week. The message sent loud and clear by this revision is: if you join with us in the battle against ISIS, your efforts will surely be rewarded.
