Everyone’s favorite socialist liberal, Senator Bernie Sanders, is once again back in the spotlight for saying something totally insane, and by extension, absolutely untrue.
Recently, Sanders made the comment that if Obamacare is repealed, lots of people would die without the miracle left to us by the Obama administration.
The only problem is, when asked to actually back up his claim, he was utterly incapable of providing anything remotely resembling an actual fact.
Check this out:
Now, let’s be real. Sanders isn’t defending the Affordable Care Act because he’s a huge fan of the plan. After all, he’s a big proponent of a single-payer system, believing Obamacare doesn’t go far enough. No, he’s out doing his loyal duty to the Democratic Party by working to defend this monstrosity that’s slowly sucking the life out of our economy.
Yes, he’s working in tandem with the same people who sold him up the river and ensured a bitter loss to rival Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination, sealing the deal for a Trump victory.
Guess all that talk about being anti-establishment — a message millennials soaked up like a sponge — was just bluster meant to draw in the youth vote.
The truth of the matter is, more folks will benefit from Obamacare being burned in a dumpster than those who got something from the legislation to begin with.
Imagine if we repealed this garbage and opened up competition for insurance companies across state lines? Prices would drop and the burden on small businesses would all but disappear, freeing up capital for expansion and job growth.
Thanks to the compassion of Americans across the country, there would be plenty of aid and help available for anyone in desperate need of care.
So no, Senator Sanders, tons of people aren’t going to die if Obamacare is repealed. In fact, some lives might actually be saved.
