Look Chelsea, we get it, you’re going to run for office eventually.
Anyone who’s paid attention to her Twitter feed since the election (not something I recommend) has gleaned that she’s still not over her mother’s humiliating defeat. Every day she reacts to something Trump or his administration does, expressing how she’s at a “loss for words” (clearly not), shocked, or how “unconscionably terrible” Trump is. She also often pokes fun at widely reported gaffes from Trump and those in his administration, which apparently doesn’t make her mother’s loss any more embarrassing to her.
Adding fuel to the fire of speculation surrounding a political run of her own, Chelsea is now out with a book, and it’s title is derived from a phrase used to defend Elizabeth Warren (also known for her Twitter meltdowns in reaction to Trump).
According to Twitchy:
Ever since Sen. Mitch McConnell shut down Sen. Elizabeth Warren back in February, the phrase “nevertheless, she persisted” has become the rallying cry of women liberals everywhere. And now Chelsea Clinton is reportedly using it in a new children’s book:

It’s hard to imagine any kindergartners nationwide excited to read this — or many adults being thrilled enough to buy the book either, which quickly became a point of mockery as the media tries to make Chelsea the “next big thing” for some unknown reason.

Of all the literary subgenres out there, can we all agree none is more grotesque than "political children's book?" https://t.co/ZDEWRYQl9S

The book-that-none-of-you-will-purchase debuts May 30th, and profiles thirteen women who changed the world including Harriet Tubman, Sally Ride, Oprah Winfrey and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. There will also be a “cameo” from an unnamed woman (please don’t let it be Hillary).
Chelsea said in a statement “I wrote this book for everyone who’s ever wanted to speak up but has been told to quiet down, for everyone who’s ever been made to feel less than. The 13 women in ‘She Persisted’ all overcame adversity to help shape our country — sometimes through speaking out, sometimes by staying seated, sometimes by captivating an audience. With this book, I want to send a message to young readers around the country — and the world — that persistence is power.”
Hopefully she does end up running — whoever her opponent is could use an easy win.
