Ever been so intelligent you decided to announce to the world through Twitter that you’re in the country illegally? Oh, and that you’re going to college on the taxpayers dime?
Enter Mayte Lara, whose Tweet bragging about receiving a full ride to the University of Texas went viral due to the last four words:
To give you context for what she was up against for the top academic honors, at her high school, Crockett High School, only 32% of the students are proficient in English and 11% proficient in math.
While Lara’s tweet went viral, the response was overwhelmingly negative.

Many other users forwarded the tweet to Donald Trump — though with Obama in the White House, I (Matt Palumbo) suspect there’s a greater chance this tweet will result in an invite to the White House than a deportation.
Her Twitter has since been deleted, but a cache of her account can be viewed here. And it was hardly surprising that she deleted her Twitter, as it turned out you don’t get much positive attention when you confess to planning to defraud taxpayers out of tens (if not hundreds) of thousands of dollars on the Internet.
In the immortal words of Jim Carey in ‘Liar Liar,’ then “stop breaking the law a–hole!”
