SERIOUSLY? Check out Obama’s LATEST award…

Obama’s headed out the door, and pundits will debate his legacy for decades to come. At first glance, the statistics aren’t pretty. Here’s just a brief listing of some “lowlights” of the Obama legacy:

> $19.9 Trillion: the staggering mountain of debt Obama will leave behind on January 20, 2017
> $1 Trillion: tax increases in Obamacare over a decade
> $870.3 Billion: estimated economic cost of all the new federal government regulations finalized since Obama took office
> $750 Billion: the US Global Trade Deficit last year under Obama
> $690 Billion: the increase in student debt since Obama took office
> 82,288: number of criminal illegal immigrants released by the Obama administration from 2013 to 2015
> 5 percent: the reduction of the percentage of Americans who self-identify as middle-class since Obama took office

History won’t be kind in reviewing Obama’s legacy, but with only weeks left in office, he’s received one final pat on the back before he’s headed out the door. Much like when he received the Nobel Peace Prize, this one will have you scratching your head as well.

As Breitbart reported:

”On Wednesday, President Obama added another prestigious medal to his Nobel Prize collection when he had Defense Secretary Ash Carter award him with the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service. Secretary Carter awarded his boss with the medal on January 4 during the Armed Forces Full Honor Farewell Review for the President held at Conmy Hall, Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall in Virginia. Carter insisted that the medal was a token of appreciation for Obama’s service as commander in chief, the Associated Press reported”.

After spending the last few weeks throwing roadblocks in the path of President-elect Donald Trump and his transition team, Obama nonetheless claimed in his remarks to the members of the military in attendance that “We’ve got to make sure that during this transition period that there is a seamless passing of the baton, that there’s continuity.”

Recipients of the medal are nominated by the Department of Defense and approved by the Secretary of Defense. That’s why it makes zero sense for Obama to be granted such an award. Let’s review his foreign policy record for a second:

> Oversaw a resurgence in the Taliban from 11,000 members when Bush left office, to over 60,000 today
> Had America suffer at least one terror attack every single year under his administration
> Underestimated the threat of ISIS, referring to them as Al-Qaeda’s “JV team”
> Released a record number of Gitmo detainees, many of whom returned to fight on the battlefield
> Signed a nuclear agreement with Iran as the ayatollah continued to publicly state “death to America” during negotiations
> Appeased the Iranians in having American sailors held captive by them thank the Iranians for their treatment

Does awarding him a medal for distinguished public service make sense given these “accomplishments?” Of course not, but neither did giving him a Nobel Peace Prize.
