Elizabeth Warren makes JAW-DROPPING gesture of “liberal tolerance” after senate hearing

Trump Department of Education Secretary nominee Betsy DeVos’s confirmation hearings quickly turned into a partisan battle.

DeVos — a strong supporter of school choice and charter schools — defended them fiercely during the hearings. Meanwhile, Democrats tried to vilify such concepts. Elizabeth Warren argued that school choice (through school vouchers) “would relieve parents from the terrible choice of leaving their kids in lousy schools or bankrupting themselves.”

It’s amazing what politics can do to people, because Elizabeth Warren defended vouchers in her 2003 book “The Two Income Trap.”

“An all-voucher system would be a shock to the educational system, but the shakeout might be just what the system needs,” wrote Warren when she could defend which policies were best, not those the Democratic Party supports.  Of course, we shouldn’t expect any consistency from a woman who’s only right about 1/32nd of the time.

Warren grilled DeVos during her confirmation, which is to be expected (after all, that’s the point of such hearings), but it wasn’t until after the hearings she carried out the ultimate act of disrespect. Townhall noted:

“…despite the heated discussion, the panel thanked her after the event and cordially shook hands with her at the hearing’s conclusion. Well, almost everyone. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) refused to reciprocate DeVos’ handshake, instead waving her hand and quickly hurrying out of the room. Her rude act was caught on camera.

She must still be sour she was never appointed to head the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
