OH BOY: Here’s who ELSE is attending Trump’s inauguration…

Every single day since Donald Trump’s triumph, protestors have swarmed the nation in open defiance of Trump (and employment, apparently).

When it comes to stopping Trump, “literally anything else” would be a viable alternative, as mass protests never stopped a democratically-elected president in this country before. Still milking the “Trump is a misogynist” narrative that wasn’t convincing enough to take him down the first time, the largest protest yet is planned for Trump’s inauguration. I should point out ahead of time that the key word here is “planned.”

As Red State reported: A group is planning a Million Woman March for the day after Donald Trump’s inauguration. The New York Times is reporting that the protest is in its beginning stages but gaining steam on social media. The idea for the mass protest, which will see marchers begin at the Lincoln Memorial and finish outside of the White House, is nascent — basic plans for the demonstration began popping up on Facebook within the last 24 hours. It appears the organizers are launching Facebook groups in individual states — so far 16 states have pages on the social media network. Organizers seemed to have some technical difficulties with the national page, so one of the local pages has been converted to what will now served as the national page.

The group organizing the demonstration said it plans for protesters to “March from Lincoln Memorial to [the] White House to show our strength, power and courage and demonstrate our disapproval of the new president and his values in a peaceful march. ALL women, femme, trans, gender non-conforming and feminist others are invited to march on Washington DC the day following the inauguration of the President elect. This march is a show of solidarity to demand our safety and health in a time when our country is marginalizing us and making sexual assault an electable and forgivable norm. We align with all POC and LGBTQ causes, and we will show our support in a non-violent protest.” The New York Facebook group adds, “This is an INCLUSIVE march, and EVERYONE who supports women’s rights are welcome.”

So I’m not exactly sure if this is supposed to be a protest or a gathering of Tumblr users, but despite all the media coverage, it’s unlikely to garner much turnout. The group doesn’t have as much as a mission statement, or even any noticeable social media presence. The only newly created “Million Woman March” page I could find that’s related to the protest on Facebook has under 200 “likes.” There are also going to be protests in solidarity with those protesting in D.C., held in Philadelphia and Oakland. As of writing, according to Facebook, just under 2,000 have stated they’ll be attending the Philly protest, and fewer than 100 have stated they’ll be attending the Oakland protest. On the event page for the main protest in D.C., fewer than 1,000 have stated they’ll be attending.

And this is just a random aside: but does everyone else remember just weeks ago when liberals were freaking out over the possibility of Trump refusing to accept the results of the election? Yeah – that was hilarious.
