On Father’s Day yesterday, conservative pundit Ben Shapiro sarcastically wished his audience a “happy legal guardian of unspecified gender day,” making a jab at the kookier factions on the Left that actually have a problem with gendered holidays for some reason.
You knew there was going to be at least one kook out there – and leave it to Lena Dunham to be the one to send out the following, which she quickly deleted after a half hour when sane America began reacting to it.
It never ends. Would be great to have just 1 day without the unnecessary SJW commentary. Doubt there was a similar comment on Mother's Day. https://t.co/pYe2WEqhgc

People do need fathers, you have one that you seem to love & who has enriched your life. Why rob someone of that? https://t.co/VWVsFBequO

Lena Dunham and the left have been telling families for decades that children "don't need a father". We've seen the horrific results.

After a largely negative response, Dunham decided to spin her comments to make them about the joys of diversity, or something.
I love men, I love alternative families and the only thing I hate is people who can't respect a diversity of family dynamics. Peace.

Meanwhile, on Mother’s Day we weren’t informed that we “didn’t need a mother,” but rather that it’s essential we protect our mothers’ right to have aborted us, should they have wished.

Stay tuned for our next post, in which we try to discover why the heck Dunham is famous in the first place.
