JUST IN: Russia investigation DISASTER

High profile liberals in the media such as Rachel Maddow may still be wearing their tinfoil hats and devoting enough time to conspiracies about President Donald Trump’s supposed Russian connections to give the impression that they’re anything but conspiracies, but those tasked with actually investigating such connections aren’t turning up much.

Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff said back in March that there is now more than circumstantial evidence that Trump colluded with Russia during his campaign…. then never provided any such evidence after that.  Perhaps he was just jumping the gun, hoping that evidence would surface – but thus far it has not. Diane Feinstein told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer last month that “she still has seen none that would show collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” House Select Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes echoed similar comments on Wednesday, stating that there “isn’t sufficient evidence to link Russia to Donald Trump’s election win.”

The Democrats’ investigation into Trump’s Russia ties is falling apart, it appears, as it’s now been put on pause.

According to MSN, Democrats are blocking key witness interviews in the House Intelligence Committee’s probe of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, according to a new report.

The panel, which is examining potential collusion between President Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia, was set to interview 10 witnesses in June, Politico reported Thursday. Two people familiar with the probe told Politico that the interviews are on hold after objections from Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the panel’s top Democrat.

A third source said the committee is not yet ready for the interviews as some of the witnesses have not complied with its request for documents.

Politico reported that the interviews would have included former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, former campaign adviser Carter Page and longtime confidante Roger Stone.

“The majority and the witnesses are ready to go,” one source familiar with the House panel’s investigation said. “But the minority continues to object claiming they aren’t ready.”

A senior committee aide told Politico, however, that Schiff and Rep. Mike Conaway (R-Texas) had agreed not to conduct witness interviews until witnesses responded to the panel’s request for documents.

The committee on Wednesday issued seven new subpoenas in its Russia probe, with four directly related to Russian election meddling last year.

As for the other three, they focus on allegations of “improper unmasking” of Trump campaign officials in classified Obama administration reports during the presidential transition period, so, what’s found there could be more beneficial to Trump than damaging.
