We just found out who’s REALLY paying for Stein’s recount

For the first time in a while, we won’t be informing you that George Soros is behind the left’s latest nefarious activities — at least in the case of Jill Stein’s recount efforts. While the man is often the one behind the curtain pulling the strings, in this case it’s not his money Stein is looking to waste.

Stein’s raised nearly twice as much money for her recount efforts from the general public as she did for her presidential campaign. This, despite the fact that she’s already missed the deadline for a recount in Pennsylvania — rendering the whole recount essentially pointless (assuming the goal, for those donating, is to turn the election to Hillary).

Nonetheless, it’s not just her donors’ money she’ll be wasting. As a good socialist, Stein won’t spare the taxpayer’s money, either.

As Fox News reported: The recount in the battleground state of Michigan could potentially cost taxpayers upwards of $12 million, according to Michigan Republican Party leaders.

According to the Detroit Free Press, a recount could begin as soon as Friday, with the goal of finishing by Dec. 10.

GOP attorney Eric Doster, who will help represent President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign in the recount, said Tuesday that he can’t imagine the recount costing less than $10 to $12 million — the cost of a statewide election. He cited “astronomical” costs of overtime pay, training, security and travel.

The Michigan board of canvassers declared Monday that Donald Trump had won the state with a margin of victory of 10,704 in the popular vote over Hillary Clinton, and was awarded the state’s 16 electoral votes. Stein and running mate Ajama Baraka won 1.1 percent of the state’s popular vote. She is spearheading similar vote recount efforts in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Clinton cannot win in the Electoral College unless recounts were to reverse the results in all three states, which, as previously mentioned, is impossible due to Stein missing Pennsylvania’s deadline.

Nonetheless, it’s certainly fitting that someone with Stein’s politics would turn to the taxpayer to foot the bill for her antics. No doubt the taxpayers of Michigan can think of twelve million other things on which they could spend that money.
