In this brave new world, where there’s not a single thing the far-left won’t brand “racist,” it was only a matter of time before we all got schooled about the “racist” Super Bowl.
Yes — an event used as a form of escapism for normal people became yet another issue made political by some of Trump’s kookiest detractors. Why? Because quarterback Tom Brady and Donald Trump are friends (and have been for 16 years). For that reason alone, the Patriots somehow represented “white supremacy,” because…well, why not?
After the Patriot’s James White, a black player, scored the winning touchdown, Twitter exploded with the racism charges.
Kara Brown, a senior writer at Jezebel, argued (in a now deleted tweet) that the Super Bowl is a racial issue because Boston is totally a racist city, or something.
Here’s some more of the craziness:
One user reached out to “Black Jesus” for help:
Imagine being so far into social justice that the Super Bowl becomes a racial equality issue. It’s almost like they’ve run out of real problems to complain about. Either that, or, in the immortal words of our friend Kara:
That’s probably the more likely scenario.
